Default Hornby factory repurposed.

It was announced some time ago that Locomotive Storage Ltd had either acquired or had an agreement to use the old Margate factory for storing their extensive fleet of heritage locos.

I have just read that Bittern will be the first loco to take up residence on 2nd June.

It would be a bonus if they were to open the area to visitors.

That would be good.
What ever happened to the news that they were moving? Was that scrapped?

Presumably you mean Hornby?

They moved their operation to Sandwich some time ago. The Visitor Centre was to have moved to Ramsgate Harbour but that was killed off by their finances. I believe they did a deal with Locomotive Storage to retain the VC at Margate.

The Isle of Thanet News is describing Bittern as an ‘exhibit’ and are using the phrase ‘put on eventual display’.

Speak to Brian - I hear he's got shares in Sellotape.
Let ParcelfArce try to deliver it. If no-one there they'll leave a card
