Default Aldi Hobby offers Sunday 25th May

Aldi will be having a number of hobby tools on special offer this Coming Sunday including a 60W temperature controlled soldering station @ 20, yes you read it right 20 and 3yr warranty. Probably not the best of quality but for someone starting out and on a budget it's probably worth a punt. There are some other items of interest too.

Usual disclaimer, I have no connection with the business.

Ordered some of the tools, not the soldering kit though as I've bought a one recently from Amazon.

I got an electric screwdriver from ALDI and its been fantastic. Put up a fence with it. It drove 90mm decking screws into the posts no trouble at all. Great for work on a loft layout. I think it was 12.99.

The soldering iron is an online offer, to save you a wild goose chase to your local ALDI!

If anyone has still not added a pair of "helping hands" to their tool box I implore you to do so. At 2.99 it will repay you over and over.

I have got one of those obtained from a Tandy shop back when Noah were a lad. It's a bit rusty. Time to upgrade?

I think you will find the ones marked "online" will only be available to pre order till Sunday and will be in the shops. The items marked "in store soon" are not available online only through the stores from Sunday.

Maybe. I ordered something online that now shows as in-store soon.

Understanding systems used by retailers is never going to be easy. Maybe, they set a limited number to be available online with the rest in store then when or if they have stock left they put them back online. I don't know.

I do know that I ordered what is now showing as in-store from the website.

Its common for the first batch of of a new sale item to be airfreighted , which the retailer uses to determine the consumer interest , so that maximum profit is realised when the sea freighted stock appears in the stores.
