Thanks Steve.
Amazing, you stand with 3 or 4 other blokes with cameras ready waiting for somebody in a bright red shirt to finish studying a rivet, when along comes another bloke and stands right in front of us to take a picture.

The class 50's brought back memories of just over a decade ago. Can't quite see their names. I remember working behind Hood and Defence? There were four names but I found out there were two locos! I gave up recording names when I found out there were only two locos! We had three turns (Diagrammed workings. We actually worked them a couple of times a week in the summer as only 12 of us in the depot signed E&C workings) to work these locos.
One memory was of a lady who came into my brake compartment with an enquiry and saw the big metal handwheel that operates the handbrake and complained we were operating antique equipment which according to her should not be allowed to run! People are funny!
[Had another lady have a go at us when out engine stopped on our class 153. It was low on water. They automatically cut out if oil or cooling water goes low. We drifted into Gowerton station which was a single line then. The driver got the plastic watering can (Standard issue) from the cab cupboard and went out the station to knock on the door of the nearest house to get water. The lady said "Honestly. In this day and age trains need water!" When I said her cars have water in their radiators she thought I was lying to her!]

Do you mean Defiance? What do you mean by four names but only two locos?
