I love that clock! ^_^ It was a birthday present from SWMBO.

I got lost very quickly on the drivers eye view, but its an impressive layout and I think your right if the track is too long in development before trains can run it gets a bit hard to push on

There's also an element of what you want from your layout too. I want long runs, where I can set the controller and then watch the trains go by. With out the complete loop, I had to keep stopping which for me is not enjoyable. For a technical shunting layout a huge partially built layout can work, as there's still stuff to do.

So quick update, I've made a new photo album on Imgur for terrain and scenery documenting. The new picture album link.

I've spent the last week working on an Aufhagen model post office. I'm generally really pleased with how it's turned out. There's a picture below, which brings me to another positive point this week...

I've discovered Imgurs image editing software and I believe I am now able to properly link images here, without overloading the screens. The image below is 1000 pixels wide: How is that for a standard size here for the general reader? Too big? Too small? Does it mess up your standard screen layout?

Hi
The image is OK, but does cause an amount of over sizing of the item. Perhaps try 900 and see?

Not sure if it's browser dependant - but via Safari gives this effect (i.e. slightly wider). R-

Thankyou for the feedback gents! I've had a play and dropped resolution to 750, which works nicely on my set up. It gives an image the width of the forum 'column'. If you could let me know how it looks for you, once again. Ta.

So I recently watched one of EJs track laying... I found myself sat pondering my own track laying...

Time to rip it up and relay it. No change to the position, just shoving in cork to raise the track up.

We've been adopted by a cat that lives locally. Super friendly, I would adopt it if it actually needed it... That said... I may need to upgrade the signalling and warnings to include cats on the lines... o.O

Here's the missing section of track being laid in the new format. Cork underlay, to raise the track bed. I've gotten a section of straight track in place and dried. Currently drying are two points. So this evening I'll have the station section of track sorted and in place!
