Default Printable textures

A useful resource I've used for creating textures for various parts of my layout is Sketchup Texture Club. It's really meant for providing texture graphics for a 3D CAD app, but there's no reason why we can't use those same graphics for our layouts too. You'd probably need to pop them into some sort of DTP program, or get creative with Word, but nearly all the textures on that site are 'seamless', which means you can tile them as much as you like. The trickiest part is getting scale right, which can be a bit of trial and error! Then it's just a case of printing onto paper or card. I've used these textures for creating things like brick walls, fence panels, wooden decking, and so on. I even tried making my own station platform in card using some textures from this site (though that was a failed project, but not on account of the textures).

Just thought I'd pass on the tip, seeing as it's free.
