Default What's your latest acquisition

I thought we already had a thread for this but it seems we didn't so here it is, a place where you can now tell us what your latest purchases, or gifts are that you have received,

The latest was a Hornby Evening Star a couple of weeks ago (BNIB from Kernow - was a birthday pressie from my missus, bless her) and a very cheap Mallard (split from the recent Mallard set) for 55 from Hatton's

Hoping that Hornby will get Manston to me shortly after Xmas....

Recently acquired:-

Mobile Post Office (not fitted to track)
Crane wagon (not very good on any curves)
Skaledale unpainted cottage (being painted today)
Skaledale Water Tower
Footbridge

I also briefly had Cock 'O The North but this had to be returned so that one is now un-acquired.

All either in the BF sale or Advent Calendar offers.

Well I've treated myself to a pair of Bulleid Light Pacifics, ones that had been on pre-order for some time - 34001 Exeter and 34013 Okehampton. Both now have their DCC decoders fitted in the tender, all parts that dropped off during such fitting have been glued back on, and running-in has started, a process that will now continue on Boxing Day. Also pleased that the tender NEM pockets are at the right height for Kadee couplings.

The only minor gripe is that Exeter has an AWS battery box on its buffer beam, something it never had in real life in its original form. (It was rebuilt in 1957 and didn't get AWS till 1960). At least it's pretty unobtrusive from normal viewing angles.
