Water tower with sounds, clucking chickens from a wagon.....brilliant......what's wrong with innovation?........don't want it - don't buy it.......others will enjoy.......hardly "money spinners".................HB

With those of us of a certain age, the sound of running water could be problematic!

You could fit a 2 servo to do the same thing.

At an exhibition maybe but at home not a problem..........the worst noise at shows are those irritating G gauge USA layouts with monotonous sounds.......best noise is from the old Hornby Dublo 3 rail layouts.........HB

To be honest I did like it at first but would get really annoyed with the stupid commentary. I know the kits are cheap but I have resin buildings and would pay the same for Hornby Skaledale version. The bonus with sound you can always turn it off.

Bachmann have released a resin GW water tower 44-0064 superceding an earlier 44-064 listed as 35.95 but available cheaper from a number of sellers, i.e Track Shack 28.09 plus postage. The non DCC Dapol one is indicated as being 25 so does not seem to be any reason to pay 50 unless you really want an annoying talking one.

Just had a look at that Bachmann version and looks good, what’s more suitable for the Scottish region ?
