hello new to this forum;
help needed with hst lighting no forward motion lights working ok in reverse

It will be a diode blown on the pcb.

cheers Brian ,its the second hst to get this problem on my DC layout.
Would the same happen on a DCC layout.
Also how hard is this repair to do. Is i just unsolder and refit new diodes.

Yes it happens on dcc too im afraid, the pcbs are a nightmare to work on. DCC SUPPLIES used to stock spares.

Ok thanks if its a nightmare to fix ,will leave for the moment, Still enjoy them with or without lights.

Welcome to the forum. There are a few N gauge modellers on this site. I did try N gauge going back about 30 years ago. It was good, but for me at the time I had so much in 00 that thought was a nice change, I decided to stay with 00.
Today my attention is into 7mm narrow gauge (0-16.5), so I seem to have gone larger again!

I hope you are successful with your HST. I'd not like to think how small the circuit boards would be for those things!

Yes so small ,don't think ill bother myself but will look at a repair by DCC supplies. If reasonable if not will just leave.
