Doesn't it look good? If I was to try lining like that it would look like a lightning zig-zag .

Talking of ending in tears, my project has crashed and burned.

After a number of sessions pinstriping I decided it looked the business and gave it its final coat of varnish this morning then went out. I got back to find that the maroon paint has reacted with the varnish that I use and is a total mess grrrrrrrrrrrr.

Oh well you can see what I was trying to do and I may gather up the will to strip it and start again in a day or two, but right now its in danger of getting kicked into the back field. Grrrrr

What a shame. Any idea why. Was one enamel and the other acrylic?

Donít give up, put it down to experience.

Yes I suspect thats the case. I usually use acrylics and I had to buy a tin of enamel to get the right maroon colour. Never even thought that they would react like that

Bad Luck on that one Wolfie and it was coming on nicely. guess you can strip it and repaint later on.
Similar thing happened to me years ago when I was spraying the back end of a car. So know how you feel. luck was I had only done the boot lid at that point. Will all come right in the end Wolfie.
