That's good news.
I don't really want the guy to be slated.

As I said I was merely pointing out the error.
But to be indirectly accused of falsehood then to have taken that approach to the situation.
No sir, no thank you.

Bottom line for me.
In 6 months or a year, I need to rewire part of a box.
Not the end of the world for me.

I pay by Paypale. If there was a problem that way you can take it up with them.

0.90p

Think I'll survive!
Had a rant that's all. Could've caused a fire.
Shouldn't have been spoken to that way.

The end! Honestly chaps......
It's a piece of wire at the end of the day. Fortunately I noticed and thank whatever deity you prefer that it is still in spec for the current application.

Subsequent part of build was using correct grade (which I must say was well packed, turned up prompt, no issues etc.)

It was only mid way though construction I noticed the thinner feel of it. I noticed, then it bugged me because it didn't feel the same....... Now we are here!

It works. Though it wasn't exactly correct. It isn't useless to me. I was (at the time of the call) prepared to keep it, as I said I wasn't pushing a return or replacement.

I have kept the order. Just not happy with the result of the call. Questioned my integrity and honesty, then blared at me down the phone...... In a face to face situation it would not have been such a drama. I am confident of that.

Perhaps the guy was having a bad day. (The guy being Stephen)

Well in the grand scheme of things it's nothing.
I'm sure there is a valid reason.
(Like bereavement)
Recent funeral..........
Last thing he needs was me and my petty cause.

That was clearly stated on the website when I placed my order.
Just so we are all very clear!
It was on the 20something of the month (September)

Edit-----------the facts
It was also stated that somebody would be taking care of his business.
So it could easily be an honest mistake.

It was at first implied that they didn't sell the wire.
(I had to convince him that it certainly was packed and shipped from that address)

Then it was stated that in his mind he couldn't understand how "they" pulled wire of the correct gauge (2x10M 32/0.2) and then 2M 22awg from a different roll.
------------------

So yeah, probably he has a very good reason to not be 100%.

(Here I am now defending the guy)
What a world we live in.........

I have noticed over the past few years that more and more traders seem to becoming more and more like this. Even large companies are have bad attitudes sometimes.
Expample: the other day BT phoned me trying to sell me their latest cable system. I was asked some questions by the sales girl, one being how long do I spend on line in the course of a day. In mid sentence she just cut the call off.
It was done in a very professional way while she was still talking. But it was so obvious what had happened. How rude can you get.
That seems to be the way things are going these days. Not nice is it. John
