Default OO gauge platform height

Hi with me going to build my own station platform and modeling in OO gauge what height should the platforms be, some advice please.

12mm rail top to platform surface. Railway measurements relating to anything track wise are from rail top or rail sides.
Never take from baseboard as track height can differ.

I use Hornby standard track and have found a height of 14mm enough to make it look not too low
