I have got rid of any locos with traction tyres...

I have got rid of any locos with traction tyres or changed the wheels that had tyres to plain wheels.

Generally wheels with traction tyres don’t have pickups as there is no point.

I have a Peckett and wired it to a wagon with with extra pickups.

It ran beautifully over points and crossings without the wagon but is was a case of belt and braces.

Fair enough Paul but my thought is the platform between two tracks would be one wide platform, then you wouldnít need the extra subway and have a dangerous gap between them. Just my view.

Great stuff, but Iím not sure about the double platform. They should either be pushed together with the white lines at the joint removed or just use one platform and move the track over or remove one...

Must admit the Jinty does have quite a long stiff ish wheelbase. Might be it doesnít like 1st rad. Iíve not had any of those on my layouts. The J94 can handle just about anything.

Very interesting Steve. It is quite a common thing to squeeze the pivot hook to stop it dropping off. Done it lots of times.
