There is no blanking plate for the X9659 decoder, you will have to cut the socket off and join the relevant wires together.........right side pickup to rt side motor and left side pickup to left...

Throppers.....my first thought is that the 1 farad cap is much too big for the Laissc decoder. I would remove it and then check if the decoder still works. It may have shut down to protect itself...

It may be that the 0-6-0 J83 DCC fitted steam loco is from the Digital Mixed Freight set so it definitely does not have Magnahesion......it may be worth resetting the decoder......:)........HB
