Track pins mean you can move the track if...

Track pins mean you can move the track if necessary and sometimes itís just a few mm. It gets stuck down when all is well and the ballast is added.

I prefer laying the track directly on the ply. Anything you use for sound proofing will be negated if you ballast the track. I like the sound of the wheels on the rails.

As John suggested it might require a little modification inside.

Regardless of the lights, change the wheels to metal one. Plastic ones spread dirt to the track and the coaches will run much much better with metal wheels.
